Surgical bone formation with distraction osteogenesis

The distraction of the jaw ridge (distraction osteogenesis) is a fairly new development in which bone augmentation is achieved through bone stretching prior to implantation. This method is carried out using special tools and does not require bone transplantation. It serves to augment the vertical distribution of bone tissue. We use this method also in cases of a premature loss of teeth or after a bone loss caused by an accident.
